Sands Motel

Amazing!! It is an apparently old motel, and I like it !!! It is very clean and has no bad smell! Don't worry if it smells like cigarettes, these rooms are odor free! It is a very simple motel, but really what interests me personally is that it is clean and odorless! Your furry friends are welcome here (cats and dogs) you don't have to pay anything extra for your stay with them! It is a very affordable, comfortable and above all clean place. Worth it!!! It is a fact that we will return! I RECOMMEND IT!

A wonderful experience for the price. Staff is friendly and helpful. Building is older but well maintained. Rooms are clean. A budget motel with only the necessary amenities but absolutely will make it a point to stop here again.

It is exactly as described. For $35 it gets a 5 star. Classless neighbors from New Mexico let their dog crap in the parking lot and I stepped in it tracking it into room. Did my best to clean it. Apologies.

This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at in a very long time. We walked into the room and we're greeted with just a beautiful smell of cleanliness. The king size bed in the bedroom is one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in in a hotel in a while. And I've stayed in some four star hotels where the beds have not been that comfy. My overall experience was very lovely and I would stay there again.

The motel served the purpose and was definitely convenient in price. I was able to get rest from the 14 hour drive from NV to TX. I still had 468 miles left to complete the journey. The water was good and hot for the shower, with a microwave to warm up food.

For starters, Richard is the kindest person in this industry I have ever met. Really amazing with people and very kind to my cat, this motel is pet friendly :) The rates are very low, another bonus! Now this is an older motel, from the 50’s and when I walked into my room, it smelled AMAZING! The bed was so comfortable!!! An amazing nights sleep!! I HIGHLY recommend Sands Motel, if your ever passing through! Oh and the linens smelled great too! Just remember, since this is an old motel, it won’t be perfect for someone who is looking for upscale amenities. But for the price, this was far above my expectations! Thank you so much for the great experience, and I will DEFINITELY, be a repeat customer!

While the rooms are clean and decent. And no pet deposits, it is right next to a major truck stop so a little bit loud. And the are burs everywhere. Walk you dogs at your own risk

For an ultra low budget stay, I am impressed. The place is located right off I10, and given its well populated the place doesn’t feel unsafe. Lots of parking and truck parking places nearby. Checking in of my online reservation was easy and standard. The room is surprisingly spacious and sparkling clean, and decently sound proof. There are microwave, fridge, small AC and a lovely bar desk good for computer work although I wish there were more outlets. The bathroom is old with lots of wear n tear but usable and well stocked. To me the most important thing was hot shower, and this place has it. Overall, I’d say this is the best among similar tier places.

I really liked it here. I gave it 5 stars because it was $45 dollars for the night. They aloud my 3 dogs n didn't charge extra for them. Its a place in progress with being fixed up. Was perfect for the night. It had a microwave, mini fridge. Has a restaurant that is on the other side of the motel.that serves Mexican n American food. That was very good. Gas station across the street. Motel was quiet. Definitely would stay at again.
